Why did the Articles of Confederation fail?

The reason that the Articles failed was simply because they didn't give enough rights to the government to enforce things during a rebellion. They actually didn't give the government rights to do much of anything but just to be called the government. The Articles were made where they didn't encrouch upon any rights but they also didn't define what these rights were. They needed something that was a little more astablished to actually run the country!!
