Is it safe to feed any kind of fly to a golden bell frog?

I have a pet frog and it's tail is shrinking. I was wondering that if you give a frog a live fly with eggs/maggots inside the fly, will the frog be safe? Will the eggs/maggots hatch and eat/kill the frog from inside out?
