I have a bad feeling my boa ate my girl's new cat..?

My girlfriend brings her little cat over alot when she stays the night. My boa is almost 9 feet and he managed to push out the door of his cage overnight. She left it here when she went off to work in the morning and I slept in late. When i went looking for her cat I could not find it. But I did find the snake behind the couch. I fed him a rabbit a couple of days ago but I wouldn't put it past him to eat again. I know she is not going to believe he ran away but I have no idea how to tell her. Do you think it is possible he's in a closet sleeping? God dammit..She is going to be completely distraught because she loved that cat.
