Can't we just pretend like the WNBA doesn't exist?
In the past month or so, overtime in an espn televised WNBA game has made me miss the first 2 innings in the game where Bonds broke the HR record, and the first quarter of team USA vs. Brazil in the fiba basketball tournament. Why would ESPN ever allow such a thing to happen? I'm not against women playing sports. In fact, I've coached girls' youth basketball teams. I don't, however, understand how espn could devote any time what so ever to the wnba. They have to be losing money by devoting programming time to women's basketball. 90% of ESPN's audience is comprised of men, and men don't want to watch the WNBA. It makes no sense. What are your thoughts?
