Blood from rectum. please help?

You need to see a GI doctor for a proper diagnosis and testing. Now, with the symptoms you are having this might be something inside your colon. This might be a polyp. Polyp can bleed both actively and then heal and be fine, then repeat any symptoms like pain whenever a stool comes down and pushes or hits it and reopens it. Please only take this as a suggestion though. These happen mostly in people over 50, but that doesn't mean that it rules this out either. This area you describe with the symptoms is the only possible explanation, which also falls in line with what the doctor did. This doctor wasn't too good with you as he might have taken the time to mention or bounce some idea's off you. Maybe they were busy, this is the week-end. But this still doesn't explain just blowing you off. Please go back to the ER if you start any bright red blooding or discharge. This does mean internal bleeding. The darker red can mean older blood that was there for awhile too. If it were hemorrhoids, the blood would be a brighter red as these are closer to the too. Good luck and God Bless
